Reservation Process

Local Shamokin City and surrounding areas' residents interested in getting involved with the community, starting a personal garden, or looking for an outdoor activity should use the link above to reserve a garden bed at one of our three community garden locations. More information is available on the form. 

When you reserve a bed, you are generally given one planter box per request (some special allowances will be made depending on circumstances). Only annual flowers and vegetables are allowed to be planted and grown in the reserved beds. It is requested that one annual flower plant is planted to attract local pollinators. 

By requesting a bed, you are making a commitment to weed, water, and cultivate your reserved area and ensure it does not look unkept. If you are reserving but not maintaining, you will be sent a courtesy email to tend to the bed. Further, ensure all trash is disposed of when at gardens or pocket parks and remember to keep our public spaces clean and green. 
 
Always remember that an adult should always be present when accompanying children to the gardens!
