Sponsor a garden & earn a plaque

Shamokin Community Gardens maintains five community garden areas which serve as vital spaces where residents can grow fresh produce, learn sustainable practices, and come together to build a stronger, healthier community.  Our locations include:

  • Sunbury Street Community Garden and Pocket Park

  • Fifth Ward Community Garden

  • Claude Kehler 1 Park

  • Volunteer Park

  • 27 concrete planters along the Market St Boulevard and nearby monuments

In addition to maintaining the above locations, we are currently working on completing The Gateway Garden on Sunbury Street by constructing an additional retaining wall, establishing a children’s garden area, planting native species throughout the space, installing rainwater irrigation and stormwater management systems, and refurbishing existing stacked stone walls and upper areas of the garden.

To make this vision a reality, we are seeking support from valued community partners.  Your annual sponsorship would help us achieve the goals mentioned above.
